I've been working in the art department since my college days, always with a view to working my way to becoming a production designer. But I stopped off at motherhood and art direction along the way - both of which I also love :) I've been lucky enough to work on some really great & varied projects over the years, both in the West of Ireland where I lived for the first 15 years of my career, and then on the East coast for the past 5.
I work predominantly as an art director, where I get to work alongside some fantastic production designers. Aswell as homegrown shows, I've art directed on many international co-productions including The Drowning for Channel5 (UK), two series of “Der Irland Krimi” for ARD (Germany) & feature film; “Death of a Ladies Man” (Canada).
I've designed a number of feature films myself, the most recent being "Barber" by Fubar Films, and then Paddy Slattery’s feature film; Broken Law, which premiered at the DIFF 2020 and enjoyed a nationwide cinema release this Summer. I also took the reigns from Alan Farquarson, on the multi-IFTA-winning Red Rock for TV3 & Element pictures where I was Supervising Art Director and then progressed onto becoming Production Designer for the last two seasons. I've also designed children's tv shows, comedy shows and some short films.
Now and then I like to dip my toe back into standby art direction & graphic design to get a break from the desk and flex the old brain and adrenal gland.
